This intermediate class will explore how cinematographers use their artistry, craft, and technology to author images that support the director's interpretation of the story. Participants will examine how the quality, angle, colour, and quantity of light affects or influences the image. Composition, lens selection, depth of field, aspect ratio, camera height, and camera movement -- and their collective effect on the story -- will be discussed.
