Lighting a scene for a film is an essential and exciting role a cinematographer plays in the creation of a film. This 3-week workshop takes participants through the process of lighting a scene that is ready to shoot from different camera angles. This includes determining camera position and lens selection after blocking the scene, evaluating existing available light, the selection and positioning of light sources, through to lighting the scene, and determining exposure and shooting simple coverage. The workshop is intended for individuals who have a basic understanding of cameras, lighting and grip equipment from previous workshops and would like to put all the pieces together to use their newfound skills on future projects.

Thursdays, October 17th-31st (6:30-9pm)
