Premiere Pro: Cutting A Short Film

This two-day workshop will familiarize you with the interface of Adobe Premiere Pro, with an emphasis on the parts most important to short form narrative filmmaking. Along with learning the ins and outs of the program, you’ll be taken through the step by step of workflows and learn how to ingest footage, organize metadata, sync dual system sound, makes various types of edit, how to add effects and color correction, and building type in Premiere. Finally, you will be shown how to export your film and how to accomplish specific delivery specs for festivals and online distribution.

Tavin Dack has been working as an editor for the last six years. Training at Stanford University and graduating from SAIT's Film and Video Production program, he has built up extensive technical knowledge related to the art of motion picture editing. Tavin has been a dedicated member of CSIF for several years, and loves a good root beer in the edit suite.
