In 2009, The Calgary Society of Independent Filmmakers (CSIF) is proud to present the 17th Annual $100 Film Festival.  The festival embodies the spirit of low budget filmmaking and brings the experience of projected film to our viewers by focusing solely on works that have Super 8 or 16 mm film prints for screening. 
                 
We would like to invite you to submit any works that might be eligible for this festival.  The CSIF is very proud of our longstanding commitment to providing artist fees to any films that are selected for screening in the festival.  These films would also be eligible for festival prizes, juried by a committee from the local community.  In addition to that, we do not ask for any entry fees; however filmmakers must make sure that they include a self-addressed, stamped envelope with their submission if they want their preview film returned.  If they require any further information, or need to print off a submission form, all of that information can be accessed from our website: www.csif.org.  They can also call or e-mail us for information.
                                   
We will accept submissions for the 2009 program starting December 2, 2007 and hope that filmmakers will submit works throughout the year. The submission deadline for the 2009 $100 Film Festival is Tuesday December 2 at 4pm. We look forward to seeing some great work from both new and experienced filmmakers in all genres.
